Hang on Startup
Ejukebox just started hanging on startup at the "loading options" point. Other forum posts talk about renaming the ini file, but the ini file is
missing in the Ejukebox directory.
How do I get running without losing my database?
Thanks

Hi chuck,
What version of eJukebox do you have installed?
If you don't have eJukebox 5 beta 22 yet please follow the instructions at the end of the first post here: http://www.audiosoft.net/forums/viewthread.php?tid=2277

Really? There is no C:\Program Files\eJukebox\ejukebox.ini ?? There should be one. Are you on Vista?
Is there an ejuke.asn and db.m3u?
If you are using eJukebox with winamp....try starting winamp first then start ejukebox and see if it still hangs.
If it is still a problem I would run the 4.90 full install from audiosoft.net/download.htm (which will keep your database if it exists) then shutdown
eJukebox and replace the ejukebox.exe with 5 beta 22.

Hang
There is an ejukebox file, no extension given, that is a configuration file.
There is an ejuke.asn
There is a db file, no extension given that is a winamp playlist file.
I'm running XP
Opening up Win Amp first got me past the Loading Options, up to "finishing" then it just quits.
I guess I'll try the re-install next

chuck, do you have windows set up to display ALL file extensions or is it hiding known extentions?
To check, go into -
>My Computer
>Tools
>Folder Options
> View
Make sure that the "Hide Extentions for known file types" is NOT ticked.
You might also want to select "view hidden files and folders" just incase the file is hidden.
Its a strange one because EJ will usually create a new .ini file if one does not exist.
>EDIT > Just read your last post again. I htink the "ejukebox" file that you refer to that has no extention but is a config file is
the one you are looking for.
double check by doing what i suggested above, then if it is, try renaming it to something else (like "ejukebox.old") and try opening EJ again.
