Without guitar would maybe be the best? Nice picture, looks like a holy item or something in space

Fishy,
I could remove the light beams if you don't like them, and just keep the cd on the guitar? Orange or blue?

OK Fishy.. you can replace the old nocover.png in my eJ Crimson33 skin with this new one, if you want to try it:

Nice, but could you make the cd transparent so it blends better with the rest of the now playing region? A release is soon overdue Pirk

Fishy,
The cd is already transparent.. but as the rest of the now playing region is very uniform, you just can't see the transparency!
My first pre-releases (with the guitar) use the same cd: You can see the guitar strings behind it, so it is transparent! But as you don't like the
guitar..

hmm what resolution are you running ej at? 1600x1200? I can see a rectangular red wine color around the cd, while the rest of the now playing area
has a more light red color. I will post a screenshot tomorrow. Right now I enjoy, you guessed it... red wine :b

Pirk: As you can see the red color is somewhat lighter around the cd than for the rest of the now playing area. Hence making a rectangular shape
around the cd. By the way Pirk, how do you get those cool scrollbars? I can not get those, even if I choose the scroll buttons instead of scrollbars.
Am I missing something?

Fishy,
First, enable the ScrollButtons. Below that there are 2 checkboxes for the 'Sliders'. One to show it over the Artist list and one for on song and
album lists.
BTW the sliders are pretty easy to skin. Just add an artistslider.png image in the skin folder.
Also v4.70 added the new visor .png skin files that Pirk has over the artistlist up and down buttons and the carousel.

Aha! Thank you. The new scrollbars look really, really neat. I think I may have found a bug related to them though? When I minimize and restore
ejukebox the new scrollbars (not the scrollbuttons) disappear from the albumlist/artistlist/songlist.
Edit: Restarted ej and now they are present when I minimize and restore ejukebox. They do however blink and disappear for a second or two when
minimizing and restoring the program.
Edit2: And after a while they disappear again...

Fishy,
Thanks a lot for your screenshot. OK I see your problem in 1600x1200: I'm 1280x1024 only! It's very interesting for me to figure how ej looks in
1600x1200, because I plan to buy a such screen possibly, if it brings something more for ejukebox..
I will see if I manage to "remove" the lighter red color around the cd. I know that Audiosoft is working on a new "Super EDV" mode where the
artistlist and the full songlist (with genre and year columns) are displayed at the same time: I think that should balance the left panel..
Besides, I don't know if your screen can rotate in portrait mode? Could you possibly post a screenshot in 1200x1600?
Thanks.
Audiosoft,
The ScrollButtons sometimes disappear for me too.. I have 4.71 installed. I think they already disappear with 4.70.
I've not repported this bug because as I run ej via a Remote Desktop Connection, I still suspect my display problems are due to that.. But in fact it
seems my client display is very accurate!

Here is my last work on the now playing panel: I've added drums in the background. (in the DIV {} section)
Do you like it more than the guitar guys?
Thanks.

Pirk, sorry but this is an ordinary crt-monitor. I plan to get hold of a HD widescreen tv soon, so then I will give you a shot
1600x1200 is worth it. I would hate to run ejukebox in lower resolutions than that, after getting used to it
Interesting that you also experience disappearing scrollbuttons. Hopefully Audiosoft can stop this magic.
As for the drums, I am a fan of abstract skins without too much objects and distracting elements. Prefer patterns which blend together over the
different panels. But that is my personal taste, and it is your skin

Fishy,
Well, in fact LCD monitors are more usually in 1920x1200! 16/10 instead of 4/3.. I think 1920 is very large for eJ, too much large for the infos we
currently have in eJ. But in portrait mode 1200x1920 I think eJ would have enough height to display the songlist and the albumlist fully expansed.
Otherwise, OK for your personal taste concerning skins..
I like your new avatar "blue fishs".
PS: I have a game for you: http://www.freegamesway.com/online_games/online_fishing.html
Thanks.

Fishy or Audiosoft,
I've seen on your screenshot of my eJ Crimson skin in 1600x1200 that your Artistlist is different from mine when you use the scroll bars: It looks
better for you! I have a unwanted empty space on the right side that I can't remove.. (cf my screenshot).
How do you managed to get ride of this empty space?
Thanks.

I did not move a finger to get rid of it. That is how it looks in 1600x1200, no dirty tricks from me I like your skin better and better Pirk. Is there a plan for albumseperators for the next revision as well?
Are you sure about the drumset. I think it steals too much attention from the important stuff (the album cover). I hope you consider my critics as
constructive Feel free to send over a test version, then I can check out
how the skin looks at higher resolutions before you post it.

Fishy,
Ah! really? so you did not edit the artistlist at all?! weird..
I never really removed the album separators: they are just disabled! You can enable them very easily editing each songlist .dis files. At to end you
just have to change a 1 in 0:
[SongList]
DisableAlbumRule=0
I'm glad you like my skin better and better! And I appreciate your critics too!
I personally like the drumset.. it scrolls behind the cover on song changes! But if not, what do you think I could put behind the cover instead? Just
a color shading?
A chance you not noticed the guitar behind the songlist yet!
I will see.. and may post a "RC" version.
Thanks.

need critics
I love your skin the colors are great and nice work on the buttons. I think your use of the transparency effects add some real class to the skin. I
agree that the graphics in the background mess up the album art. I think a simple nondescript background would be better than graphics guitars and
such.
My opinion as asked for in the previous post.

Thanks for your critics crlove. It's still very interesting for me to know how users perceive my skin so that I can try to improve it..
OK for the guitars and such.. but if I put them it's I don't know what "simple nondescript background" I could put instead? I would need something
very contrasted for the songlist background, but what?
Feel free to post any backgrounds you would like to see in my skin.
Thanks.

Pirk,
Please add "cursor: hand;" inside the .title .titlehi and .titleedithi in your songlist.dis file. The large and extra-large songlists have the hand
but the normal one is currently showing the arrow cursor over the song titles instead.

crlove,
I still need to find a new background image for the now playing panel since the guitars or the drums I planned to add seem to don't suit.. Maybe I
will not change the background this time, so should I post the skin update as version 4 or just 3.4?
Moreover I must confess that I have other unplanned worries at the present time, so I don't have much time to devote to eJukebox. But I hope for the
next week!
Thank you very much for your interest to my skin.
