Msdxm.ocx Error - V3.998 OK, V3.999 & 4 Unusable
I'm having real trouble with the newer versions of EJ, when trying to edit tag info or add files (Apart from during initial setup) an error comes up
18+ times and eventually crashes EJ. This behaviour occurs in V3.999 and 4.0 Betas but 3.996 and 3.998 are fine.
I have seen this error mentioned on the forum before but registering that OCX file does not help. How do I fix this?

Have you tried eJukebox v4.0 Beta 2?
What version of Windows Media Player do you have installed?

Yes I have tried 4.0 Beta 2, both the upgrade and an uninstall, delete folder and then reinstall but exactly the same occurs. I also get the strange
behavoiur mentioned here with 3.999+: http://www.audiosoft.net/forums/viewthread.php?tid=1567
I have the Media Player Included with XP SP1 installed.

Thanks Rlailey,
I had some initial problems installing that update, Windows kept telling me it hadnt passed Windows Logo testing, in the end I followed some tips on a
forum and the number of times it warned me halved and it managed an install most of the update and EJ 4.0 Beta 2 then worked.
I use a diskless system that runs of an image file, the trouble is I think my image is somewhat corrupt and this may be causing the error so I
reverted to my EJ 3.998 image for now until I can be bothered to plug in an HD and make a new XP SP2 image.
Why does EJ suddenly need Mediaplayer 10??!?

The Beta 3 Download is under Latest Updates and should fix the Msdxm.ocx error. Let me know either way.

I'm afraid Beta 3 did not help, problem remained exactly the same. I tried an upgrade and a delete followed by full install.

All is good, the Run In RAM option really benefits my network booted setup too.
