eJukebox and Internet Explorer 7
I've installed Internet Explorer 7 Beta2, but since that.. eJukebox don't run any more.  Well it try to run, but display nothing neither in the now playing box nor in the songlist. Only the artistlist seems to work! But all
crash rapidly.
Is the support for IE 7 planned soon? I think IE 7 will come out in August!

Pirk,
How is IE7 compared to Firefox?
I plan on making eJukebox work with IE7 before the official IE7 comes out.
If you want eJukebox back right now you can uninstall IE7 beta 2 from the windows control panel to go back to IE6.

OK, I was sure you will be reactive on that since IE is the heart of eJukebox!
Well IE7 beta2 is already better than IE6..  But until now not so good
than Firefox! Well it is promising, things seems well thought. I like the "favorites center" and tabs of course...
I hope IE7 will allow a lot of new functionalities in eJukebox!? Maybe in the skins?

Well I hope you are right Pirk. But I would be happy if IE7 just used less CPU.
Personally, I am pretty happy with Firefox. Ever since I started using it, I no longer worry about spyware installing itself from the web. For me I
fear IE7 will just be another headache. Hopefully it will not be that hard to get eJukebox to work with it.

Ah.. sorry for the new headache.
I just hope I can use more filters in my skin, if IE7 use less CPU.
PS: I use Firefox since IE6 don't work anymore properly, maybe because of spywares... Fortunately IE6 still works good with eJukebox!

Pirk,
I heard a rumor that IE7 will no longer support filters. I really hope that is not true or there is a work around.
If you still have IE7 beta installed see if the filters work on this page and let me know:

Oh! no more filters! Currently I'm still using IE7 and ALL the css filter examples on your link WORK perfectly, the compatibility seems to be
provided!

Yes, that's good news! Even if I was hopping there would be some new filters in IE7... But maybe filters are old-fashioned.

Great news! I have updated eJukebox to work with IE7!
Everything looks good and is fully functional. Even the 2WEB browser interface works without issue.
The bad news is that, at least with IE7 Beta 2, you will need to change a new security setting in order to get it to work fully. Hopefully when the
final version of IE7 is released this will not be necessary.
In Internet Explorer 7 click Tools and select Internet Options.
Under Internet Options first click the button "Reset All Zones to default level"
Then Select "Internet Zone" and click the "Custom Level..." button.
Scroll down to the "Scripting" section and Enable the option:
"Allow status bar updates via script"
Click OK. Close all IE7 Windows. Open IE7 once. Run attached IE7 compatible version of eJukebox.
That's it. It should work perfect then. I am looking into if I can make eJukebox automatically change the status bar security setting. But that may
change with IE7 final since I think that is a bug. It doesn't make any sense that that setting needs to be changed in the internet zone. It should be
part of the local zone which has that option enabled by default.
Anyways the good news is that eJukebox will work with IE7!
Attached is eJukebox v3.998 beta2 - the first IE7 compatible version of eJukebox. It has been tested on IE7 Beta 2 as well as IE6 and works on both.
Right now installing this is the only way for eJukebox to work with IE7 installed. However, every eJukebox version that comes out after this should be
compatible with IE7.
If you try this version out please post a reply to let me know if it worked with IE7 installed. Also if someone could test it on IE6 just incase that
would be great.
Download Moved to v3.998 Beta 3 under Latest Updates.

Great Audiosoft! I'll test your update. Until now I've just run eJ without any change in my IE7 configuration and it already displays things good.
Only the mouse clicks are ineffective, so I think this is because of my IE settings not changed. I'll test more and report soon..

Looks like it! The only bad thing I have found so far is that IE7 makes the lists in eJukebox unresponsive when the album list is being refreshed.
Before you could click an album and view the songlist while it was still loading. Hopefully Microsoft will fix that behavior in IE7 final.

I've changed my IE7 settings and now all is OK. So I think I'll keep IE7 installed on my PC.

PS: Finally you will have more time for the implementation of... well maybe some very old requested features like importing the track numbers of
non-mp3 files, or some larger play controls ?

There is a feature that doesn't work anymore since the IE7 update. It's about the "Link songlist to currently playing song's album when
inactive":
The now playing album show up in the songlist, but the currently playing song is never high lighted (.titleedithi). So now my great "turning CD"
never show up!
With IE6 sometimes that was also the case, but only sometimes.. It seems that was when the song change takes too much time to load? And since IE7 the
songlist seems to be load last, so maybe this is the reason?

Don't worry I have figured out how to get Link Songlist on Inactivity working with IE7. I also fixed eJukebox being unresponsive when the album list
is being refreshed. Plus a couple of other IE7 issues.
eJukebox will now detect when the IE7 security setting needs to be changed. In which case, the Home view will show a big warning message and
intructions on how to change the setting.
v3.998 Beta 3 is now under Latest Updates. I think I got all IE7 related problems fixed. Let me know if you find any.

That works perfectly Audiosoft.
There is just a case where I can't see my CD anim:
It's when the now playing album contain many songs and the now playing song exceed the bottom of the screen. In this case I think the songlist
should scroll down in order to center the high lighted song. All that taking care of the ".titleedithi" height, because my turning CD also enlarge
the songlist a bit more...

Well Audiosoft.. Forget what I said in my last post, it seems that's already working according to my wishes!
Maybe it would just remain the albumlist which autoscroll even when there is less than 1 row of albums: I think the albumlist could be completely
reduced, like that was the case in the previous version of eJukebox.
