v3.99 Bugs, Problems and Issues
Here are some on my system.
1.) The panel expansion isn't working correctly. I tend to set the collapsed panel along the ride side of my screen. It used to be that the
expansion would push everything to the right, and collapse back in the reverse way. Now the expansion pushes things off the right side of the
screen.
2.) LOAD PLAYLIST is broken. It used to be that an M3U file like the one I'll give an example of in a moment would work:
sample of M3U
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:179,The New Pornographers - Twin Cinema
The New Pornographers - Twin Cinema.mp3
#EXTINF:172,The New Pornographers - The Bones Of An Idol
The New Pornographers - The Bones Of An Idol.mp3
#EXTINF:207,The New Pornographers - Use It
The New Pornographers - Use It.mp3
#EXTINF:267,The New Pornographers - The Bleeding Heart Show
The New Pornographers - The Bleeding Heart Show.mp3
#EXTINF:186,The New Pornographers - Jackie, Dressed In Cobras
The New Pornographers - Jackie, Dressed In Cobras.mp3
#EXTINF:187,The New Pornographers - The Jessica Numbers
The New Pornographers - The Jessica Numbers.mp3
#EXTINF:210,The New Pornographers - These Are The Fables
The New Pornographers - These Are The Fables.mp3
#EXTINF:257,The New Pornographers - Sing Me Spanish Techno
The New Pornographers - Sing Me Spanish Techno.mp3
#EXTINF:174,The New Pornographers - Falling Through Your Clothes
The New Pornographers - Falling Through Your Clothes.mp3
#EXTINF:181,The New Pornographers - Broken Breads
The New Pornographers - Broken Breads.mp3
#EXTINF:187,The New Pornographers - Three Or Four
The New Pornographers - Three Or Four.mp3
#EXTINF:248,The New Pornographers - Star Bodies
The New Pornographers - Star Bodies.mp3
#EXTINF:162,The New Pornographers - Streets Of Fire
The New Pornographers - Streets Of Fire.mp3
#EXTINF:259,The New Pornographers - Stacked Crooked
The New Pornographers - Stacked Crooked.mp3
Now it doesn't work, at least inside eJukebox. It pretends to load, but nothing shows up in the Playlist.
It's my belief that this used to work because eJ assumed that the current directory of the M3U file was the proper directory to seek the files
described inside the M3U. Sadly, whatever code once accomplished this assumption appears to be gone from eJ now. If I take that same file and put in
explicit drive locations, eJ loads it. But that's a very sloppy way to write and maintain M3U files. Winamp itself doesn't require explicit drive
locations in those files, so why should eJukebox?
3.) This is an old one, never fixed and still present. The CTRL-3 key combination (which is supposed to be a shortcut for a 1 1/2 star rating
doesn't work. Please note that all of the other CTRL-Number combos work.
4.) Oh, one more. I'd recently moved my MP3 files to a new server. I've always used a static mapping ( V: ) to whatever my current MP3 repositiory
currently was, but made a mistake this time. I fixed the problem quickly enough, but BEFORE I did that it made me notice that when eJukebox couldn't
find the bulk of my MP3 files, it hung and then crashed. As I said, fixing my mappings fixed that problem, but I'm a bit concerned that simply not
finding files crashed the program. I'm hoping this problem can be eradicated from future versions, since I occasionally mass-move my files around.
I understand that when you do so, often a database rebuild is necessary, but the program has to let you IN for you to do that, and in the situation I
described it crashed on first loading, not later on.

Just fixed #2 and #3 for the next release. #1 is because the xpand/contract button no longer hides the playlist.
If #4 causes eJukebox to freeze on startup then you need to open up winamp first and start playing a song -> then open eJukebox. Otherwise what
happens is eJukebox keeps cycling through the autoplay songs until it finds one to play that exists.

Sorry to say this Audiosoft but the re-sizing issue hasn't been fixed. For example, in 1024 mode and either maximise or fullscreen the EDV is
automatic.
I have gone into the fullscreen options list and un-checked the EDV, but it still comes up.This obviously collapses the now playing area back to
default.
Unless I misread something, I thought it was going to be fixed for the official release of 3.99 ?

Resizing (little) problem
I noticed that in 3.99 you have reactivated the right border resizing ability. OK, I guess that is intended to the new users...
That works, but when you want to shrink eJ, if you inopportunely drag the bar too far to the left side then the resizing fails (cf. my screenshot).
I think the problem occur if when moving the mouse you exceed the minimum size possible.

love the new touch screen scroll buttons the ones in the artist work great but the ones on the right move way to slow
i have a 60k song database and its not uncommon to have 200+ items come up on search

Thanks much. I'll try #4 next time I have this problem (which is only about once a year, but I'll remember).

It annoyed me too. But there's an option to switch it back to the old-style slider bars in the Settings.
