background-color: hsla(0, 100%, 50%, 0.5);

great, very handy! well once you master the 'hue' propertie, photoshop will be less essential.

maybe you could update the eJukebox Color Picker?

and also you could fix the Hex values xA which are always turned to 00. 7 or 8 Years before i decide to finally report this bug!! ;)

Thanks.

How to make a skin run in IE9+ Standards Mode

OK you can now add this to colors.ini
[IEStandardsMode]
Version=9

This setting allows the skin to render in IE9 standards mode and works to set IE 10 11 12 etc standards modes when they come out.
The value must be 9 or greater and IE9 or greater must be installed or it will use quirks mode.
if you specify Version=10 and only 9 is installed then it will use the standards mode of the version installed...IE9. if the setting is Version=9 when 10 is installed...9 standards will be used.

This exe makes the render mode switch when you load or change the skin based on the new or missing colors.ini setting. the installed IE version and current render mode are listed on the home view temporarily for testing.

OK I integrated a new Color Picker in eJukebox!
I think "ColorPic" replaces the previous tool advantageously. It has the hue saturation properties, and no bug..

new color picker with HSV support attached...
-all format values change to match when you edit one of the boxes
-includes a common slider that works to gradually adjust the rgb or hsv box that you clicked to focus

test it out and let me know if you notice any problems
will make this the color picker in v3.34

-updated fixed using slider on HSV was not always incrementing
-updated added mouse scroll wheel support

thanks for the quick update! well they are still some problems with hue and saturation values: often they can't be changed using the slider arrows (one by one). the scroll wheel doesn't work for me.

ahh this one seems to work better! the scroll wheel now works good. all is very pinpoint, we should be able to find new colors for our skins! thanks for the ie9 hsl converter. i'm not familiar yet with these new notations but if it works.

your welcome!
just now updated the exe again so it actually works as HSL before it only worked as HSV
Click the V: and L: to switch between HSL and HSV
Click the big Color box at the bottom to show the IE9 HSL code

Audiosoft, i think you have made a mistake in the new color picker: Hue should be from 0 to 360°, not 0 to 255! Hue defines the color according to a position or degree on the color wheel. :o

Pirk the Hue is 360 for hsL and 255 for hsV
it should work click the L: and V: to toggle
when you open colorpicker it does L: ~360 for Hue and percentage for Saturation and Lightness

there is just a strange thing i noticed: when i switch between L and V sometimes the Hex and Decimal values are changed!? weird..

PS: tomorrow i'll try to "improve" the playlist, then a innovating skin should start to conquer the world! :D well for those who will install IE9.. Microsoft should send me some cash!!

-now shows a preview gradient above the scrollbar for the active entry box
-now supports alpha transparency
-Color Picker now ontop and has a minimize button
-now toggles viewing css items when you click the color box
~need to figure out how to organize and group the css color items so can user can copy and paste a color group which works on IE9+ with benefits and still gets the right color and opacity on preIE9 when possible.

wow a lot of improvements! you added transparency, then maybe you could add a preview for color transparency. i mean like in photoshop using a checkerboard as background. :)

Q: how can i remove a color in the custom palette?

Pirk when on the custom palette you can right-click a spot to change it to the current color

or left-click to set the active spot under the custom palette then change the color by clicking Add
also to black out spots you can change the color to black and then right click the spots

this exe fixes the top hue picker was not working when black or white was the current color
adds a non-changing text area below the right side css so can use it as a notepad

now automatically saves and reloads the custom palette to colorpicker.ini

includes new buttons to Clear, Load and Save the custom palette to a Name. also can now view Custom and saved Names under Palettes tab at the top

also to black out spots you can change the color to black and then right click the spots: i think using the "Del" keyboard key to delete any selected spot would be more easy...

your method is very clever once you know it, but i think standard commands are always welcome for ordinary people. Thank you for added the del key. it works good! :)

you know what? sure the new color picker is "much more better" for the future with ie9, but i miss the old palettes! maybe could you also add in the new palette menu the color palettes that was in ColorPicker 1 (using the same sort order..)

PS: Here is the new playlist i just made for ie9, using the new color picker. all that is very promising!

Audiosoft, sorry if i'm deadly: you'll agree or not but i think the new slots are too small to distinguish the different colors in a real palette with very Close Color gradients. maybe you could make the new slots at least so large than before, or more large if possible! (cf ColorPic in my first post/screenshot about that)
and also, still for the same reason, if you could "frame" the selected slot in the Main palettes like before.

Thanks.

PS: the Negative Color small box was also handy in the previous picker.

ah thanks! it's already better. maybe could you allow users to resize the picker window? that will be useful for the text panel too.

updated: maybe full black separators and empty slots in white was not so bad finally. ;)

or else, just a window more large for larger slots, keeping the same layout and colors than before my complaint..
