I think the up next song needs more space to express itself on large displays! 
The only disadvantage is that it will look cramped on small screens..

Personally, I prefer skins to be clean & crisp. Not too much eye candy. (but then...what do I know... )
Saying that, I think you should go with what you like best. You'll never please everybody, we all have different tastes.
Your instincts for what's right or wrong, or too much, are usually spot on with me.

CrimsonLive 3 is still in progress, it is not abandoned: I've made a new version of the song list which is now partially black! There is also a new
artist header for the album list, and a nth "up next" area..
Audiosoft,
Current bug: I cannot open the Album list!? Well I'll try to restart my PC.. one of these days!
Another malfunction: I can't center the background graphic behind the playlist numbers. There is a mess in a:link, hover, visited.. something as
changed suddenly. Maybe a ghost in IE7?!
PS: As soon as I can bring myself to clean the Crimsonlive 3 folder.. and if there is no objection in relation to this last screenshot!?, I will post
the new crimsonlive. Probably this weekend, I hope.

Hi Pirk,
great to see the advantages of CL3.
for the "nextplay"-area:
Be sure you think of laptop- and widescreen-user.
f. e.: I have a 1280 x 900 - 16:10 - display on my lap. I think it's not an unusual screen-resolution.
The big "nextplay"-graphics don't leave much space for a big "nowplaying"-cover and a playlist.

Hi mchawk,
In this last version on my screenshot above I've already reduced the high of my next play graphic! It has only 27 extra pixels than the standard
high. So only one title is lost in the playlist.. I think it's acceptable. And for those who are very limited in high, they can still uncheck the
option "Show Next Song Display When Songs are in Playlist". Furthermore, I need this supplementary high because I use a large font for the up next
song. Last reason: I like this 3D frame! You don't like it?

"large" version, and also the up next song area, with some sweet new graphics "kept for a special occasion"!
