Ejukebox still works fine here. With and without the carousel. I like the improvements of the artistlist. It is more usable now, but still think that
the albumlist jumping in paralell is unneccerary. Suggestion for 4.1; make it optional. Albumlist jumping in large collections is a heavy task, and
not really needed when you just want to display some albums in the songlist (by clicking an artist in the artistlist while the albumlist is open).
Thanks for making Arctic a featured skin by the way! However, there are so many things that could be improven. Is it possible to make the progressbar
larger? Like it works now, you kindof have to aim for it and it doesn't look very good. If it is not currently possible you got suggestion number
two for 4.1. I think Artctic need several heavy updates.
Not unrelated to this, I've seen suggestions for a new homeview on this forum. Nag, nag, nag.. Suggestion number three for 4.1
Thanks for keeping ejukebox updated! 4.0 is the most stable version of ejukebox to date. I am sure you will fix those issues mentioned around the
forums soon enough.

Hi,
I dont know if you got the point that Ejukebox works fine as far as I can tell if I quickly navigate away from the home page before the big freeze
happens. Then as long as I dont go back to a screen with a carousel it stays on. I just dont understand how it still freezes at the home page with the
carousel disabled.
I have also noticed that from the album list if you choose an album it appears behind the album list and you have to either close it or drag it down
to see the selected album. Is this supposed to happen?
Any chance of reposting the beta 2 upgrade again so I can use my Jukebox for the time being. It worked fine. Didnt try beta 3 so I am unsure if the
problem occured with it.
Just tried it again with carousel disabled and using silvertunez skin, looked to be ok until I moused over the new highlighted letters and then it
froze again.
Thanks

VWBUG,
OK now we might be getting somewhere. When you say 'highlighted letters' to you mean the small A-Z letters or the larger letter on the bar or
something else? Was your mouse button up or down when it happend?
Also it sounds like you need to uncheck the Pin Album List button on the AlbumList header bar to get the songlist to Auto resize the albumlist again.

Fishy,
We will get to the new home button view soon enough. The thing is...I am not sure what I want to do for it yet. The one thing I am sure of is that it
needs to do more than it currently does not just look better.
You can download the v4.0 upgrade again as it has been updated to v4.02. It is still called v4.0 except it shows v4.02 on the taskbar. v4.02 includes
an option to disable the album jump like you wanted.

HI Audiosoft,
Sorry yes I mean the a - z
I was actually using the touchscreen not the mouse so I am unsure whether I actually clicked the letter or just hovered over it. I was actually trying
to scroll down them, so I guess I had clicked it. I have changed over to silvertunes skin and has not crashed yet, I have carousel disabled and artist
letters seem to be OK. (much prefer the default skin though)

OK So now i get the problem. You are using a touchscreen and it is not triggering mouseup events when it should. Maybe there is a setting with your
touchscreen software that need changed?
If the mouse emulation is set correct I think you should be able to make it trigger mousedown mousemove mouseup so you can drag the A-Z big letter and
slide it up and down with your finger.

It has work for every version up until now.
Would it still do it when using the mouse, viewing on a touchscreen?
Why would it crash whithout doing anything and not at an area of the sreen where there are no mouse up events?

ok. well next time it freezes, let me know exactly where your mouse was when it happens.
You should probally grab the v4.02 upgrade as it will make sure that the new 'lower resource using' artistlist is installed for the default skin.

Set Priority=2 not 3 in ejukebox.ini to avoid crash
...with regard to the crashing problem with xJukebox 4.0, this has been resolved by downloading 4.02 and setting the Priority=2. I found that
Priority was set to 3 on my system which made the mouse movement very jerky. Setting this to 2 and the system no longer crashes. I've also set it
back to 3 just to confirm that this is the problem, so 2 it is for me
PS I'm running XP SP2 2.8Ghz Genuine Intel 1Gb RAM

ah...so it was the priority causing the crashing!
There must have been a bug with one of the betas that set it to 3.
I have gone ahead and put v4.04 up which makes eJukebox reset it to 1 for everyone and deletes:
[Processor]
Priority=X
from the eJukebox.ini and changes it to use
[CPU]
ProcessPriority=1
in order to fix this up so people will not have to manually edit the ini.
You can change the ProcessPriority under [CPU] if you want it to be something other than 1 but only if you system can handle it. You may experience
crashes or jittery sound if you set it too high. I personally use 2.
1=Normal
2=High
3=Realtime

I was at processor priority 3, but no crashes! Only a few suspect breaks in Photoshop.. So I think I'll put 2.
By the way Audiosoft, Thank You for eJ 4.0!

Yeah Thanks Audiosoft, seems to have fixed the problem.
My only concern now is that when you choose an album from the album list it opens up behind the album list, is this supposed to happen? Is anyone else
getting this problem?

Hmm, in some rare cases the old bug, where the songlist drops down when contracting the artistlist, is reintroduced in 4.0. I have not been able to
track down some pattern in it yet though. It is possible that it was not introduced with the 4.x series, but have been there all the time.
Maybe a look at the code could reveal something Audiosoft? Thanks.
