Decent shoutcast streaming plugin?
Hi Guys,
Trying to find a shoutcast winamp plugin that will automatically start streaming when winamp starts.
So far i've tried:
- Nullsoft Shoutcast plugin v1.8.2
- Jetcast plugin
- Oddcast plugin.
They all stream ok. No big surprise there. Oddcast works well with good encoding rates but requires you to click "connect" manually to get
the streaming going and even seems to often "forget" the password you set in the config.
Jetcast requires a button to be clicked and has only very low encoding bitrates
Nullsoft's one (not surprisingly) is the best, and closest to what i want, but refuses to auto-start when winamp starts minimized as EJ starts
it. I need to maximze it, then minimize it again to get it going.
Anyone have any other suggestions to get this working.
The Nullsoft forums seem pretty hostile and there are thousands and thousands of posts to trawl through otherwise i'd report the error with the
plugin.
I can't find anywhere else to report it

Have you tried adding a shortcut to Winamp in the Startup folder? If you can get Winamp to load normal before eJukebox starts it should work.
Also, you may need to setup your Winamp Startup shortcut to go to "C:\Program Files\Winamp\winamp.exe" "C:\PathToMp3File" in
order to get it to start playback and turn the shoutcast stream on.

Oh well, works a treat so who am i to argue...
