Player crashes with large DB
Firstly - this program looks ideal for my application - great job at identifying need. HOWEVER
I have over 50 000 songs on the network which I successfully loaded into application.
When I try to load up c. 10 songs in the playlist and use the "next track" button to quickly flick between tracks. Then eJukebox crashes -
however WinAmp still continues with only 2 tracks.
This is not a "deep think" issue as I have waited one hour and nothing happens - in fact I have to do a turn-off the computer reset (rather
than shut down task).
I have a Sony Notebook (750MHz, 256KB) with XP and an external MagicTouch LCD with a pen.
UPDATE:
After 3 more crashes, I can repeat one of the issues:
If I put 4 tracks in the list and then move the last in the list to the top (by dragging & dropping) and then select (Next track key >> and do this 3 times, then it will crash. Also WinAmp does not get updated (but
does not crash).
Hope that you can repeat this
So a few constructive comments:
1) I guess I could avoid this crash if I could immediately play the track that I put in the list - is there a quick way of doing this?
2) Are people using the program with over 50 000 songs?
Look forward to hearing from someone

1.) If you would like play a song that is in the playlist immediatly all you have to do is click the songlist title in the playlist.
50,000 is allot of songs! You are probally going to need more than 256MB of RAM and more than a 750Mhz CPU to handle that many tunes.

Thanks for the response.
Have you seen the other issue before - when WinAmp and eJukebox playlists get out of sync and can crash?
Is there a fix or workaround?

The only issue where eJukebox and Winamp can get out of sync is when using Winamp3. If you are using Winamp3 we recommend that you switch to using
Winamp 2.91 as eJukebox was designed for Winamp 2.x. Plus 2.91 uses far less memory and CPU.

I am using 2.91 - in fact I reinstalled it to see if this was an issue.
Is there a hot-key to re-sync the playlist with WinAmp. The only alternative seems to be a reboot
