Album covers have gone blank
Audiosoft,
As you know we have many Video eJs among us.
Since the videos cannot store any tag info, I cannot make eJ auto recognize the tracks and insert a cover. So what we do is make a folder for each
artist or album and put a folder.jpg in there with the videos. eJ sees it and uses it as the cover.
All worked well until sometime near when we tried beta 30. Now some covers that were visable before are now light blue blocks (like an ice cube). Most
still work, but a good percentage now are "ice" Even brand new ones can be "iced". It did not do it in 4.90. But if I install 4.90 clean and build
on it some are still "iced" So it isn't completely attributable to ej's updates. Maybe a windows patch? Just because I point out 30 doesn't mean
that is the time. As we do play videos, a lot of the new flash in the betas isn't used. So when there was a change that made a big difference to us
(mkvs) we went for the beta 30. So it could be any time in the betas, or not related at all, except it is in ej and seems to be a problem.
These are all Win XP Pro boxes, no Vista.
Anyone esle have cover problems that have started only in the last few months?

Bumping to the top of this one post thread. Still happens in Beta 33. The cover shows fine in the artist list veiw, but looks like a light blue ice
cube in the Now Playing.
No one else has this? Very important if no one else does...

Here's what it looks like. You can see the cover is visible on the right, just not in Now Playing. Any Ideas?

Audiosoft and all,
No one else has this problem? No responses must mean I am the only one with this. So three ejs in three different machines in three different homes
all have the problen and no one else does?
You are ready to make 5 gold but I still have the ej crash at almost every exit and many many album covers missing.
Anyone??? Bueller?

Hi Dyno Don,
Sorry but "unfortunately" I never noticed this issue. I don't have much videos, only mp3 albums with cover.jpg file in each folder. Note that much
of my mp3s don't have any image tagged and the covers always show up good. I've not rebuilded since a long time.
Nevertheless I'm sure your problem is real.. I'm behind you!

Cover.jpg? We use Folder.jpg.

Interesting. If I find a song like the ZZ above without a cover, make note of it and rebuild the database, then play the song again the picture is ok.
Most if not all are ok right after a rebuild. But then they start disappearing. Is there a limitation on sizes of folder.jpgs? After time opening them
fills something up in ej and it stops showing them?
If you go to edit the file and view the pic, the normal veiw is fine, you click it and the window shrinks to just a short line with no pic. For some
reason ej can't handle the file anymre, but can on first fresh build.
I'll keep investigating. I don't think it is a video ej problem, but it could be, we have to find a folder.jpg for each of the thouseands of videos.

It continues to get worse.
The more we use this install of ej, the worse the Ice Cube pic problem gets. A fresh rebuild brings most if not all back for at least once, then next
time they are cubed. Any ideas? Memory? Cache?

I believe eJukebox recognizes both cover.jpg and folder.jpg. Audiosoft has read folder.jpg since version 3.x. The size of the image maybe the issue
I've also have expierenced this with my collection.

start to disappear.
So it could be size, but not to begin with.
What would you say is the limit of size? xxxXxxx or size in Bytes?
