Foo Fighters keep hiding!
I'm having a wee problem with some Foo Fighters albums disappearing.
When I select the letter "F" it brings up all my albums by artists begining with the letter "F". This includes ALL the Foo Fighters albums.
When I select the Foo Fighters from the Artists List, only four of their albums appear. (I am now missing 3 albums)
I've un-installed, re-installed, checked tags. I can't figure it out.
I'm using beta 17, 64bt dual core AMD processor. Vista 64 home premium.
This has only just recently(ish) happened.
Does anybody have any idea's?

Tools->Options->Other tab->CHECK the "Enable Fuzzy Songlist Results" option. That must be checked so that when you click 'THE foo
fighters' it also shows the songs that are tagged as only 'foo fighters' without the THE.

Thanks for getting back to me so quick.
"Fuzzy Songlist" was already enabled. I disabled, tried, failed. Then I enabled it again, tried, failed.
I've checked the tags & they're all the same, album to album.
Any other idea's?
I've just checked; I get the same problem with a few different artists who have a number of albums. I select the letter & they show in order, but
when I select the name, about half of their albums disappear.

Are you sure eJukebox added the files for those albums to the database? Tool->Add new song to eJukebox
or try dragging the mp3 files from one of the missing album from windows explorer to the eJukebox playlist and see if they show up.

It's strange. I have four MUSE albums.
When I select the artist letter, only three appear in the shelf.
When I select "Muse" from the list, I also get three, but I'm missing one I'd previously had & now have the missing one in it's place.
Also dragging & dropping doesn't help.

hmmm. are the missing ones on external hard drive? If you search for the album name in eJukebox do its songs show up?

The albums are not on an external drive.
When I search for the albums missing in the shelf, I find the album, but when I go back to check the shelf, it still doesn't show.
Could there be some settings which limit albums shown or something?
I've just checked with another band with multiple albums & they are not showing all either.

OK so when you click foo fighers in artist list all the foo fighter albums show up in the songlist but some don't show in shelf3d right? Do the ones
not in shelf3d have album images next to the track names in the songlist?

Correct. They show in the "Album" listing but not in the shelf.
All my mp3's are fully tagged with images for each track and they show correctly in the songlist.
This is only recent. Could it be a bug with Beta 17?

ok close the full album list and try this:
click the album image in the songlist for a missing album and see if it then comes up selected in the shelf.
not likely but you may need to right click a song from one of the missing albums and select Edit Song. Then click the light blue SetImage4All button
if it shows up near the image in the editor.
also do this and let me know: Tools->Display tab->Un-check 'Use Shelf3d'. See if all the foo fighters albums show in the Carousel after you
click foo fighters in the artist list.

Audiosoft,
I've now tried everything you suggested & it still doesn't work.
Could it be something to do with the Beta 17? Unlikely I know, but if you link me a previous version, we could at least discount that as a problem.
I take it that so far I'm the only one with this problem. Eek.

so do the albums show in the carousel and not shelf3d?
Mine shows all my foo fighters fine in beta 17 so don't think there is a problem with it but if want to try the previous beta exe you can download it

When I select the "Foo Fighters" the albums are missing in both shelf & carousel.
I've tried just having 4.90 installed & they still don't show.
In WMP they all show, with covers etc... no problem.
I may try re-tagging (I use the free version of Media Monkey) & see if that makes a difference.
I'll keep trying different stuff, but I never used to have this problem. It's just kind of weird.

Stumped
Well I give up. I've tried everything I can think of. I'm still missing albums, even though they should still be there.
I've formatted & re-installed my pc. (yes really!)
I've re-ripped albums.
Un-installed & installed variations of eJukebox/WinAMP.
Nothing works. I've typed "Foo Fighters" in search, all the albums appear, I then select "Foo Fighters" from artist list & 3 albums are now
missing.
Argh!!!! Does anyone have similar experience or thoughts on how to fix this?

Support please!
I take it that due to the fact there has been no response to my previous post, either:
1. I am the only person suffering from this.
or
2. Nobody knows how to fix this.
or
3. Nobody really cares.
I have gone to great lengths to fix this and still I am missing albums.
Is there anyone out there who can help?

Jed4570,
I can't test your issue because I don't have any Foo Fighters album in my collection! But if ever..

Are the missing albums tagged at compilations when you right click to edit one of the songs from the album?
Right now having compilation checked in the song editor may be preventing them from showing up in shelf3d when you click the artist name in the artist
list.

Thanks for the reply
I've had a look & they're not checked for compilation.
Although I have noticed something interesting.
When I select "F" ALL the "F"-ing albums appear in the shelf/carousel.
When I select "Foo Fighters" only the first FOUR (of seven) albums appear in the shelf/carousel, even though all seven appear in the list below.
Could there be some script (or something) restricting the number of albums by each artist appearing in the shelf?
If it'd help, I could attach images.
Thanks for continuing to try.
