4.70 issue when app is minimised [Fixed v4.71]
I have an issue on my machine where eJukebox 4.70 flickers on the taskbar of Windows XP when it is minimised. This occurs whether the application has
focus or not or hidden by another window.
However, if the application is maximised there is no issue. I have re-downloaded 4.70 upgrade subsequent to the auto-upgrade install just in-case the
code had been refreshed, but this made no difference.

thanks. i will get this fixed for the next update. If you go under the eJukebox display options and check "Minimize to Tray" it will fix until
then.

Audiosoft,
I also have flickers on Vista, but in my case it's not only on the taskbar: Each time I run eJukebox after some time all my Vista system flickers!!
All the graphics elements, Vista itself, eJukebox or any windows or programs which are open, moves or vanish on the screen (cf my screenshot, but the
result can be totally different, it's not fixed..). A solution that I've found is to end the vista "explorer" process from the program manager
then to restart it manually, but that fix the problem only temporarily..
Have you any ideas of what could cause this problem in eJukebox?
Thanks.

Pirk,
That is what happens when Windows runs out of GDI resources. You can see how many GDI objects exe's are using in taskmanager...if you add the GDI
column.
You may want to close other programs running that have allot of GDI objects in order to free up resources.

Audiosoft,
Well you are right, I must confess that I've not restarted windows yet.. Maybe it will not restart?!
OK for the GDI objects column. I've 2989 objets in IE, and 1744 in eJ. What is surprising is the "explorer" column continually increases: It is now
around 4500 but it still increases.. It is now 5000! and it still continues.. Maybe my problem is there??
I will also look on google..
Thanks.

Audiosoft,
You know what? I've tried to close eJukebox, just to see if ever.. and then the explorer objets have stopped to increase immediately!
If I restart eJukebox the explorer column increases again AS SOON AS the eJukebox taskbar button BLINKS black/orange!!
+20 new explorer GDI objects each SECOND... And when the objects reach 9999 my screen becomes crazy..
So my problem seems related to the issue reported by rlailey.. I posted in the right topic! A premonition..

Pirk,
Nice detective work! So this was actually caused by the same issue. I hope windows restarted for you! If not use F8 Last Known Good Configuration. I
deleted the posts about the GDI registry hack so people don't take a chance on that since v4.71 fixes the actual problem.
The problem was a bug with the visorcar.png implementation and only occurred when the visorcar.png was enabled. I fixed the problem yesterday but had
no idea that it was eating GDI resources on explorer.exe like that. I was going to wait until I had some more improvements but have decided to put a
fix up for this now.

That's OK Audiosoft, v4.71 fixes the GDI ressources bug for me.
Thanks a lot for your prompt reaction!
