Adjust the volume with the wheel of the mouse
I would like to be able to adjust the volume with the wheel of the mouse, like in Winamp. I think it is possible if you enable it when the mouse is on
the player window.
What do you think of that?

If Winamp is "in focus", the wheel thing still works. So you basically want the same thing when eJukebox is the app in focus, right?
I'm supposing one problem would be if another app (like a web browser) is in focus.

Pirk,
I like the way the scroll wheel works now for scrolling down artist lists, album lists, etc. I would hate to see that functionality go just to the
volume.
Do you have a specific idea on how it can work without affecting the other areas?
The only idea I have is if the pointer is only in the Now Playing area (excuding the playlist), but if you're already there, why not click the
slider bar?

My idea is to enable the scroll wheel for adust the volume only when the PLAYER window is in focus by a left click anywhere on its erea, like
it's common to do for any kind of window...
To sum up,
if you want to focus the playlist (in order to move up/down the songs using the keyboard arrows) you first left click on it,
if you want to scroll the song/album list or the home page you first left click on its era too, AS CURRENTLY!!!
and if you want to adjust the volume using the scroll wheel you first left click on the player erea...
I think it's simple and logical, no?

In this way it would be very handy to adjust the volume using the scroll wheel whatever position the mouse be on the screen until it be taken by
either another eJukebox erea or by another app doing a left click on it.
So,

The scrolling fonctionality DOESN'T go just to the volume!

If another app is in focus, I think it's NORMAL to leave the wheel scroll for it.

Actually this should Not be True. You should be able to simply moving your mouse over the songlist and it will automatically allow
you to use the mouse scroll wheel to scroll it. No first left click required. Does this not work for everyone?
We can probally do the same thing -Allowing you to change the volume with the scroll wheel if you first move the mouse over the "Now
Playing" panel.

It works with with just a mouseover; no clicking required.

In fact yes, that work like you say.
I don't know if something has changed in comparison to the previous versions (in particular concerning the playlist focus) or if sometimes that
doesn't work for me. In any case actually that work like you say.

Furthermore, can you also allow to change the volume with the scroll wheel everywhere on the screen when the eJukebox pannels are hidden or
maybe even if only the songlist is hidden providing eJ be in focus?

I never hide just the bottom panel, so I would not be the best one to ask if the scroll wheel control only the volume in that situation. However, if
BOTH panels were hidden, and eJ had focus, I don't see any harm in that.
In all cases of user suggestions, Audiosoft should, and hopefully does decide which features ultimately enhance their product.

Well, if BOTH panels were hidden AND eJ had focus it seems there is no particular problem to assign the volume control to the mouse scroll wheel
>>EVERYWHERE<< on the screen and not only when the mouse is over the now playing window.
In case ONLY the RIGHT panel (not the bottom panel!) is hidden, i.e. you have displayed the now playing window and the playlist underneath, I see 2
cases possible:
-Either Audiosoft plan to improve the playlist scrolling. In this case it seems more reasonable to give the volume control to the scroll wheel only
when the mouse pass over the now playing window.
-Or else, why not to give too the volume control to the mouse wheel everywhere on the screen?
Of course Rich, it's only some suggestions... Simply, I'm happy to contribute at the eJukebox improvement since they offer this
opportunity!

One of my shortcomings when conversing in a forum / chat enviornment is I tend to type things that can be taken more than one way. So to clarify a
little, I wasn't saying that you shouldn't give suggestions, as you provide the majority of great ideas in these forums! I was just trying
to imply that MY opinions about your ideas are not as important as Audiosoft's.
