Ejukebox freezing for 20 secs
Every time a new song starts up, about 3 or 4 seconds in ejukebox stops responding to commands. the songs keeps playing thru winamp just fine, and
about 20 seconds later ejukebox is fine and going. carousel starts spinning again and whatnot. happens on every song. any ideas?

I believe eJukebox is trying to update the popularity (# times picked) in the mp3's ID3 tag. Are your mp3 files on a networked drive? As with most
apps the hard drive speed/availability can become the biggest performance killer. Make sure there is no other apps constantly accessing the hard drive
when you are using eJukebox and you should get much better results.

nah, the files are on my main (C drive.
Looking through the task manager, ejukebox never goes over 3% of my resources while frozen. Updating the popularity on the tag makes sense, but I
wonder why its taking so long.

I have similar problems but only when I have Internet connection enabled. I found that if I disable all connections, the transfer between songs is
instant. Maybe something to do with the artwork lookup? I tend to switch the Internet off if there's a few people round so they don't get frustrated
hammering the screen with no response and switch it back on while I'm on my own so that it can lookup the covers again.
