Search Lyrics
I was thinking about adding lyrics to all of my tags, but is there a way to make eJukebox's search tool search not only within artist and song name,
but also the lyrics in the tag? I think this would be a very convenient feature. Maybe it is already an option and I am missing it but if not it would
definately be helpful with finding a song.

Audiosoft I posted this quite a while back and I was just wondering if it is possible or not or if eJukebox can already search the lyrics field. I
think this type of search could be very helpful when people don't know titles or the artist, but have a phrase of a songs lyricsin their head.

eJukebox's song editor reads/show the lyrics from the tag if available.

I was refering more to a capability allowing me to type song lyrics in the top right search box and having eJukebox search to find songs with those
words in the lyrics field. Being able to view the lyrics in the tag editor doesn't help much if you don't know the title or artist to locate the
song.

rllercstr7,
Oh i see what you are saying. That would be cool to be able to search a song using text from its lyrics in the searchbox but unfortunatley eJukebox
does not store the lyrics in the music database like the other fields. The lyrics are only in the individual id3 tags so there is no way to quickly
search all of them.

Audiosoft, is it possible to make it so one can do a search on both artist and songname at the same time? As it is now one can for instance do a
search on "Led zeppelin" OR "song remains the same", with good results. But, if one combine them (i.e. "led zeppelin song remains the same")
nothing pops up.

Fishy,
The problem with a "led zeppelin song remains the same" search is that eJukebox doesn't know which part is the artist and which is title. Right now
it just searches for full text matches on the artist, title, album, genre, and year fields.
Having text boxes for each of the fields: artist text, title text, album text, would allow for more advanced searching....but there is really no room
for that unless it is placed on the virtual keyboard.
Hmmm...Maybe I can make it breakup the search text in every possible way to get it to guess the correct fields. I am just worried it will lead to
false positive results. I will see what I can do.

hmm, well I understand the delima with that info not being stored in the database, but if you ever do think of a good way to do it that would be an
awsome feature.

Audiosoft, has anymore thought gone into making this feature a reality? This is like one feature I would like to see most in version 4. It just seems
like a really logical way to find songs in a jukebox atmosphere.
