Sorting by the word "the"
Is there anyway to sort by artists and ignore the word "The" ?? For example, instead of "The Beatles" showing up under
"T" can I make it show up under "B" without having to edit all my tags?

Yes or No before I edit my tags? Only reason I ask is because I notcied my iPod does it by default and it works out well.

Not yet, no. Other winamp plugins such as albumlist ( http://albumlist.sourceforge.net ) do allow you to do this. I use this plugin in conjunction with eJukebox.
