Why is edit function ungodly slow?
I love the program, but the edit function is killing me. If I ever have to go in and manually change album image or something, it just takes too long.
It will take about 30-60 seconds to load the info in before I can edit. Then when i'm finished, it can take well over a minute to save the edit.
What is the reason for this?

You probably have your MP3 files stored over a slow network (e.g. wireless) rather than on a local hard disk? When editing, eJukebox needs to read and
write the ENTIRE MP3 file from the server and back even if you only change one byte...the ID3 Tag specification requires it.

Thanks for the response. I do run my MP3's over a wireless server. However, why is it so much faster if I change my tag info through winamp over
the same network? Is there any other way to speed this up over than taking my files off a wireless network? I can't be the only person running
all there music on a wireless network.

Like Demnos said, eJukebox makes a complete copy of the file before it's edited, making the process very slow over wireless. Winamp directly
modifies your original file, so that's why it's faster.
