Operating Speed
Ejukebox seems to run very slowly on my PC (P4, 2.0 GHz, 1 GB, XP Pro), especially when loading album list or switching screens. I have turned off
the carousel.
My music storage is pretty cobbed up: Ejukebox on a 40 GB IDE internal drive; music on two 250 GB internal IDE drives (about 41,000 songs, 300 GB);
and an external 500 GB USB drive backing up the music drives.
I have a utility that shows low (0%) CPU available when things slow down, but usually plenty of RAM (500 MB+) available. I think I have cleared out
most of the junk startup programs.
I need to upgrade my hardware, but don't know where to start. Should I focus on a better processor, more RAM, simpler HD configuration, different
Ejukebox setup, less music, etc.
