Album List Scrolling
I think it would be nice to be able to turn on a feature which would scroll automatically from the top of the album list to the bottom. The way I
would like to see it work would be for the album graphics to scroll to the bottom and then back up. It should happen in an endless loop which begins a
minute or so after the user interface has been idle. The scroll speed would be configurable by the user and it could be enabled or disabled by the
user. It just seems to me to be a way to show off my music collection while the pc is only playing music or sitting idle. It would also act as a lame
screen saver for at least the r/h center portion of the display.
Maybe it could even pop up statistics at intervals for 15 seconds or so (configurable?), at a time, every 5 minutes (configurable?) or so. Things such
as: most popular, last played, # of songs this month / today, etc...
In a situation where seconds count, the cops are only minutes away.

Totally agree with you. Would provide a cool screensaver effect. An alternative to the 'link songlist to now playing feature' which doesn't work
correctly on my system.

Well, why not... I would not be against a such feature. (I've never dared to ask for that. )
I hope that eJukebox v4.0 will reserve us some good surprises, like a new Home page including a few amazing animations!
Fishy, the inspired 'link songlist to now playing feature' works good for me!

Problem is, it sounds a bit CPU intensive.

Good remark jhlurie: It takes +/- 20% of the total CPU time!
So if this feature would be added, I would like it is optional... because of the additional noise generated on my P4!!

A "Scroll album list on inactivity" option has been added to the "Other" tab in v3.991.
It wasn't easy to put this new feature together (getting eJukebox to know when to change the direction of the scroll was tough) but I think the
effect is worth it. It makes the album list scroll to the bottom and then back up in an endless loop after you have not touched the mouse and
keyboard for 1 minute...provided that the album list is already open.
Download v3.991 Beta Here to test it out.

Nice Maybe it's time to make a screensaver tab in the options dialogue?
Ejukebox now got two of them, which is very cool

Thanks Audiosoft. The Albumlist scrolling works good for me.
Fishy and Audiosoft,
I'm not against a screensaver option.
It would just need that eJukebox automatically show up in the foreground after x minutes of mouse/keyboard inactivity, and automatically reduce when
you touch the mouse/keyboard if eJ was reduced before the screensaver mode starts!

I didn't mean screensaver per se. I define the albumlist scroller and link songlist functionalities as screensavers kindof. And if one plan to add
more of these candies, they might just as well deserve their own category in the options. The 'other' category is quite diffuse.

Ah ok, you want a screensaver tab in the options...
So maybe we could call it "Candy Animations" or just "Candies"!

Since eJ 3.991 beta, if I reduce eJ a moment to the taskbar while playing songs, then when I restore eJ I get this:
The songlist is below the albumlist!

I've had the same problem when I have "link currently now playing to songlist" enabled. Can it be related to the fact that it's not disabled while
ej is minimized too?

Thats awesome!
I don't get on this forum very often so I was incredibly pleased to see the beta ver with scrolling. I will be putting it in this weekend for sure. I
think it will be really nice.
Thank you.
