New Songs Limit
Is it possible to increase the limit of newest songs listed to over the 100 limit. I add 900 + songs nearly every day and it is frustrating having to
find every album seperately. It would be good to be able to increase the limit or have no limit.

What surprise Willum? Unfortunately the "Newest" and "Last played" songlist are intentionally limited to 100 songs!
I also would prefer it be possible to press the next button for the newest songs with no limit...

Probably because it doesn't exist any . This button is only available in
the 'normal' songlist view, when it displays albums and songs from artists with more than around 150-200 songs (not 100% sure about the limit).
I think this button is left out for the 'newest songs', 'popular' and 'last played'. Probably because of speed issues, the 'popular' list was
for instance very slow when it had no song limit. Don't know if that would be the case for the 'Newest songs' list too if the 100 songs limit was
removed?
But this is a nice suggestion. Sometimes I add, say 10 albums, some which tag&rename couldn't find coverart for. It would be very handy if I
could get to these albums directly trough the newest songs list. Your suggestion sure would allow that under all circumstances.

Exactly Fishy, with a big collection the last albums added are swamped among the long album list...
That reminds me there was a new feature planned to sort songs in the songlist: The famous checklist! You see?

And Audiosoft who said: "You can post your creations in here and/or email zip files to us at designs@audiosoft.net
Thanks for your help....if you are good at design you can create a cool look for your options page...but that is not required...we want to atleast get
an idea of all the options that will be needed so we can create a nice way to modify them to get a extensive custom listing in eJukebox."!
I don't know if your "contest" is still topical... Audiosoft?
But it's funny to see the amount of persons who have downloaded my creations! Maybe they think it's functional!!

I think you refer to the reason that has halted this improvement... What a shame!
Something new Audiosoft concerning this feature?
Otherwise we'll be glad when Pentium 10 comes! lol

Well, in fact I don't think the speed is really a issue, because when you click on a genre, you can have a songlist with many pages and up to 1000
songs, and there isn't any speed issue!
I rather think the speed issue is somewhere else! We need to be very patient... But there is so much things to do!

I am only having this issue just now because I am currently tagging MP3 albums off of some DVD's and importing them in batches of around 30 albums. I
am now nearly done so I guess that It won't be an issue after the next couple of days, but it would have helped enormously at the time.

especially when importing compilations. I use MP3Tag from Maniac tools to find the correct tags for previously untagged and unknown albums, it also
links to amazon to get the covers and somewhere else for lyrics. Could not have done it without it. It doesn't, however, tag the covers properly for
EJ to add them so I have to save the cover info in each albums folder and link it through EJ's editor. I now have 15500 song and it is getting very
slow, I will be glad when I get the last two DVD's done and can get on with listening to music for a change.
I mentioned previously an app that I liked some of the features on, Jet Audio, it has a good karaoke feature for the lyrics. Have a look, I liked it.

I would advise you to proceed like this:
1) You update all your tags (except the cover art) with a external Tag editor, putting 1 album per folder.
2) You add a cover.jpg file in each album folder.
3) You import all your folders in eJ. It will automatically add all the covers!
Otherwise if you prefer to put cover arts in the tags you can use Tag&Rename. eJ recognize the images put by this tag editor.

Hmm.. Obelix looks quite neat underneith you. Be glad his not on top
Actually I liked the series Asterix and Obelix a lot when I was younger. Probably still do, but it has been years since I read it the last time. I
think it's the only french cartoon I know about actually, but it's darn good..

ah. You said something about it in another thread, but of course you had another avatar back then. I started to think that obelix was drawn in another
way in the orginal series, or something simular, although found it strange that he's not fat with blue and white jeans . Hmm.. I suggest that we're moving this conversation over to u2u, since it's
as off topic as it's possible to get
