limit to no. of songs?
Is there a limit to the numbe of songs one can add to the data base?

I have 28.000 at the moment.. (A little time to startup but for the rest ok)

Interesting question.. I don't really think there is such a limit. And if there is one, it's probably awfully high.. I've heard about
people that got 2800 albums in their collection without any problems beside pretty high loading time for the albumlist, due to excessive caching.
Even though I can't understand why there should be an upperlimit on how many songs the database can hold? My guess is that harddrive space and
ram set's the limits. But I am not sure, since I don't write the program
Maybe audiosoft could elobrate?

The absolute limit is: 2,147,483,647 songs
This is assuming you somehow got your hands on a 8 Petabyte (8,000,000 Gigabyte) hard drive to store all those songs.

Any word if that long amount of time for albums to show up the first time is fixed on 4.0?
