Albumlist preferences reset at every startup..
Fishy - 2-20-2004 at 02:46 AM

Don't know if anyone else has experienced this but every time I close and start ej my albumlist preferences are set to default. The plasticbag disappears and I get a black background, long albumnames are scrolling as oppsosed to the defs in my preferences..

I have not experienced this prior to version 3.7. Has someone else had this problem?

I had this problem some time ago, with an older version of eJukebox, v.3.4 or something. I think i have posted a thread about this somewhere in the forum. I don't remember what i did to make it go away, though, it's been a long time, sorry.

Here's my post:

Np! I think it started when I edited the ejukebox.ini file to change the default colors of empty covers. I will try later to delete the ejukebox.ini (starting with a fresh one) and rebuild the database to see if that helps.

Weird, it seems to affect the homeview as well. All my fonts in there have become bolded...

Fishy,

Re-install eJukebox, so you'll recover the default .ini file! ;)

*** Edit ***
Well, i'm not sure of that...

Aha, now i remember... yeah, i also got it after i changed the colors of eJ. Perhaps i used non-standard values. Since eJ is partly html-based, maybe it prefers html-compliant color valures.

Try using Pirk's color values listed in the post linked in my previous reply in this thread.

Those are the same as I have.. Maybe this is an audiosoft one to answer? Wish I could give some more background, but the only thing I have done to deserve this is the edit of the ejukebox.ini file (which I have tripple checked for errors btw)

The following line should be in the ejukebox.ini file to prevent eJukebox from re-loading the default skin at startup:

[albumlist]
loaddefaultskin=1

If loaddefaultskin=1 is NOT present under [albumlist] in the ini file: it will reset the default album list skin at startup then add loaddefaultskin=1 to the ini so it will Not reset to the default skin next time eJukebox is started.

Aha, it had for some reason disappeared from my ini file. That got me settled, thanks a lot! :)
