trytommusic - 4-12-2008 at 07:27 PM

Hi,

I think this maybe a windows problem (running xp)...

I have downloaded and registered program, when opening the program I get the screen telling me Im registered for one year and my user name appears....and thats it?

There is no continue button and no automatic load into program?

I have updated my explorer/winamp and still same problems, tried re-install also.

Ive not even been inside EJ yet - please help as I have paid for the year now.

thanks for your time - any ideas very welcome.

ps I never used the trial - i went straight to pay after download.

Hmmm...Try restarting eJukebox. After a few seconds it should begin loading the full interface and you should then see a progress bar on the startup/registered2 screen while it is loading.

If that doesn't work delete C:Program FileseJukeboxejukebox.ini and db.m3u then run ejukebox again. You will stay registered and when you start eJukebox it will prompt you to setup your music database from your files. Once that is done it will show the full interface.

Please let me know how it goes! I believe you are using v4.9 right? You could also try manually installing v5.0 Beta 12 by following the instructions at the end of the first post here: http://www.audiosoft.net/forums/viewthread.php?tid=2277

Hi,

Thanks for the speedy reply - great support by the way!

Yeah I tried the new upgrade as per instructions already, thought this may solve it also but I get the same result, it will collect the data (mp3s etc) but hangs on the same screen?

there is no progress bar and my pc does not seem to be working to load the program - it doesnt freeze - its as if waiting for my action- ie a continue prompt or something?

I also tired the first option after reading your reply which effectively seems to do the same as the upgrade and again the same result?

Im sure this is a windows problem but cant find the problem when googled...its kind of hard to explain this problem also.

I think I have had the same problem with the trial ie when instaling the trial (after data scan) I remember a continue button - when pressed this done nothing, had to kill it in task manager then went to reboot software the button had gone?

I have had a simular problem with another program - I thought the problem was with my explorer.

Any ideas? I understand its not likely to be the software but im stuck :(

thanks again, tom
