I have noticed that if you delete a song using the editor in eJukebox, and then place a new file with the exact same filename back in the same folder it is not found when searching for songs to add. The only way to get it to show up is to do a total database rebuild. Is this intentional or a bug? Thanks!
This is intentional...
this was the post i was looking for...
can you change the way this works please.. so we can add the same folder/song names if we have deleted an album and want to re-add it later.
it seems to be the same issue of what i am having now. i have an album by coldplay called X&Y and it seems to be giving ej fits. when the album
shows up in the album list it doesn't show the songs when you click on the album but just a blank with the album named at the top as just X instead
of X&Y (see image). i had to actually rename the folder and then re-add the album just to get the album to show up and it is tagged exactly the
same as the other albums.
now if you select coldplay by name the album shows up but missing half of the tag data. i have rebuilt the songs 3 times just like i do all my other
albums but for some reason this one ej doesn't like. is there an issue with having the symbol "&" in the title of the album?
any suggestion would be appreciated.
thanks.

privatejz,
You are not alone.. it seems eJukebox doesn't like this album name! Probably the "&" in Album names..
is there anyway around this? or do we need to change the name to 'XandY' or X_Y for this to work?
and is this an EJ thing or a Tag thing
thank for letting me know i wasn't just nuts and didn't know what i was doing.
jz
I have the exact same album
It behaves because I have a "space" between & and the "X" and "y" (that is X & Y). You guys are probably right this is a bug related to
"&" in the albumlist.
putting the space b/w the x and y did the trick. i can live with that.
thanks fishy.
