This thread is a tad redundant, but I require a lossless format with full id tag support. I know you can open the files in winamp and then open ejukebox on top of that and have play continue, but that is basically useless.

.flac
.wma (can be set to losless)

Any of those would be great. Most HTPC users tend to lean towards losless .wma since it is a more ubiquitous codec.
