Since we are really rolling these days, how about adding an playlist for the main screen? (I know this is an old suggestion, and i actually tried to find the thread, but gave up ;P)

I'd be happy with using an experimental setting until now, like adding a line to the eJukebox.ini file to enable this function (a new "Playlist" button, placed along with the Home, Artist, Albums etc buttons, perhaps).

You see, the reason is that i want to experiment with making the current playlist a bit more graphical, leaving a bit less room for the text. But still want to be able to see all the songs in the playlist, so a button that pops the playlist to the main view (songlist / album list) would be nice to play around with.

Why not make a mockup where we can see this idea in action?

I just would like to add that the playlist, AS SUCH, is as the strong point of Winamp (thanks to it's great flexibility), as it is the weak point of eJukebox (because of its rigidity and confinement...). It's a shame. Even maybe that can dissuade new eJukebox users who come from the Winamp world...

Pirk: Agreed hopefully we'll see a redesign and some new ideas though out for the playlist as we're heading against 4.0. There are already some creative and interesting ideas around in the forum to take into concideration?
