That would be useful when you put an image as background for the album list. Because in this case you can't use the same color as the background to hide the border line.
I don't know why the images which come from ID3 tags aren't so regularly framed by the border line (resizing problem?) as these automatically looked up from the allmusic site, but the display is not so fine.
