After all the discussions I read, none of the features provided in eJukebox seems difficult to master. To me, everything seems to be organised in a
very different but logical way. I do however have a couple of problems with the http/web interface.
1. When running on a different port than 80, it seems that the behaviour is very different than usual. Enlisted songs are not played unless the
>> button is pressed every time.
2. My feeling is that the http interface allows the user too much. This interface should generally be simple for non advanced users without any
explaining to do. There should, in my opinion, be two modes via http: Firstly an admin mode which requires a password and secondly a "Real simple
Jukebox Mode."
3. The Advanced mode should include all current features.
4. The Jukebox Mode should not allow users the following: Song advance, Volume Control, Pause, Forward and Back search should also look more simple
for less cunfusement e.g. A search box with a simple "go" button, that's all!
5. All other features of the web interface are great. It reacts like a real jukebox. Songs entered twice are only played once unless running on a
different port than 80.
6. All features on the main eJukebox interface are great and absolutely worth it for $30 but for a price of $50, the extra $20 does not provide the
expected features I would have liked in the web interface.
You make a good suggestion. We like the idea of having both an advanced and a basic mode. We had planned to update eJukebox2Web and give it a new tabbed interface within 2-3 months. We will now also implement your suggestion with this update.
