This was mentioned in another topic, but I want to formalize
the request to Audiosoft.

Like I mentioned in the original post, maybe Pirk could set us up with his Girder file so all we have to do it install Girder & Pirk's
"plugin" & we'd be set to start rating via any remote or keyboard.
Steve
Wouldn't Pirk's mouse movement (that's what he said he captured to do this) be too specific to his PC?
Of course if Audiosoft could add some Keyboard shortcuts for ratings, genre Ctrl+0123... or Ctrl+Shift+0123... or anything else...
I think that could satisfy everyboby!
Found myself missing the ability to use my wireless keyboard to rate once again tonight. The new ability to rate in the Albumlist mode is helping
quite a bit when I have to go back and rate later, but I STILL had to lift my butt off my couch far too often tonight. It's those "impulse" ratings you want to make when you hear
a song that are most affected by the lack of the Keyboard shortcuts.
Can we start a whisper campaign for the keyboard shortcuts for rating playing songs?
Everybody start whispering "3.5... 3.5... version 3.5..."
Hey! Who back there was whispering 4.0! Shut up you!
Okay, now everybody back on the couch where we belong!
Any progress on this, or is the idea unworkable?
As requested, we have added keyboard shorcuts for rating the current song to v3.6.
Under v3.6, CTRL +
`=0 stars
1=1/2 star
2=1 star
3=1 1/2
4=2
5=2 1/2
6=3
7=3 1/2
8=4
9=4 1/2
0=5 stars
Will this work for eJ2Web? Please please please give us a web update
Thanks Audiosoft,
That will be handy for everybody, or almost...
Thanks, Audiosoft!! This feature is very much appreciated!
Steve
Thank you thank you thank you.
A million times thank you.
This has made things SO much easier.
ETA1: By the way, the eJ window has to be the "active" one for these rating shortcuts to work. That's fine with me, but I thought it
should be made clear to people reading this topic and testing the capability.
ETA2: I don't think there is any relation, but is anyone else with a keyboard with standard "media" keys having problems with the
"play/pause" key in 3.6? I admit it could be the cross-fade plugin I'm using (the SQrSoft 1.75 Crossfading plugin), or the fact that
I'm using Winamp 5 beta 2 now, but I'm not positive. I can still "mute" for a phone call or something, but its a bit
irritating.
ETA3: Okay, I notice that CTRL-P works. A bit more to remember (the media keys are more convenient), but hey... at least it works... :-)
The play, pause, next buttons work flawlessly over here. With 3.6. I am using winamp 2.91 and no crossfading or dsp input plugins with winamp.
