Does eJukebox keep a history file or a "recently played" list anywhere?
I asked this in passing on another thread, but didn't get an answer. It would be great if we could export a log file that shows which songs were
played along with the corresponding album, & artist all with a date/time stamp tacked on. How much of a pain in the ass would this be to add,
Audiosoft?
Thanks,
Steve
I can answer that. There is no log file. The popularity stats must be kept in the tag of each file. I have rebuilt my entire machine twice including
completley new os, hardware, and eJukebox. Just the actual MP3s stayed the same. The stats were still there. Each file must have a field to be
incremented every time it is played.

Am I right Audiosoft?
This is true. However, eJukebox also keeps track internally of the last time/date you played each song (This data is not saved in the Tags). So we will be adding a last played list to the "Special" menu at some point.
That's great! Thank you very much for your hard work & attention to our requests!

Your welcome!
"Last Played Songs" has been added to the "Special" menu in v3.0.
Great! It had kind of been bugging me that there was no easy way to reference recently played songs. It makes replaying things much easier.
I really like this feature that was implemented into v3.0 final. Is there a way to export it into a tab or pipe delimted file? Or is there a dat
file that can be accessed outside of eJ? Maybe a date played field could be added so that weekly, monthly, &/or yearly Top x Songs & Artists
list could be compiled...
Thanks,

We could have an option to export the last played songs to a Tab Delimited file...however I am not sure there is much demand for this. What would you
use this for?
More robust play statistics is definitely something we are considering. eJukebox currently saves the last (not each) date played and the number of
times picked for each song.
In order to have monthly/weekly stats we would have to make it log the date for every time a song was picked. We are looking into the best way to do
this.
I have continued this idea with a fresh post in the "Requested Features" forum. Here's the link:

Sorry if this causes any confusion. Just thought it merited its own thread.
Thanks,
