Now you have removed allmusic links... what is the url to put in the quicklinks.ini file in order that works again like before?
You can define the Info Links yourself by modifying the "quicklinks.ini" file. This is usefull if you would rather have the info links open
a search result from a different website in eJukebox.
The QuickLinks.INI file allows you to self customize the [Artist], [Album], [Lyrics], and [Posters] links. You may use #artist#, #album# and/or
#title# in any of the URL= statements in the INI file to have eJukebox link to search results for those eJukebox values. If the URL you are linking to
requires a POST rather than a GET add the line "METHOD=POST" under the link name.
For example:
[Artist]
URL=http://example.com/search.php?musician=#artist#&cd=#album#&song=#title#
METHOD=POST
Putting the above in the quicklinks.ini file would make it so when you access the right-click Artist Info Link in eJukebox (for a Beatles song in this
example) it would bring up the web site: http://example.com/search.php?musician=Beatles&cd=Revolver&song=Eleanor+Rigby
We will leave it up to individual users to modify the quicklinks.ini file with their own URL values and then share their personal modifications in the
forums.
Well, that's great! I will modify my quicklinks.ini file myself. I hope i will be able to link some French music sites to eJukebox!
Thank you Audiosoft, for this new feature...
Well, for those who wants to modify their quicklinks.ini file, maybe they could be inspired by my personal settings:
[Artist]
URL=http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=#artist#&opt1=1&x=16&y=15
[Album]
URL=http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=#album#&opt1=2&x=16&y=15
[Lyrics]
URL=http://lyricsdot.ru/search.html?band=#artist#&album=&song=#title#&match=soundex
[Posters]
URL=http://affiliates.allposters.com/link/redirect.asp?aid=880742&search=#artist#
METHOD=POST
I've also found the links for Amazon.fr. That's great, at least for me...:
[Artist]
URL=http://www.amazon.fr/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/index=music-fr&field-fieldmap=keywords:artist&field-keywords=#artist#
[Album]
URL=http://www.amazon.fr/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/index=music-fr&field-fieldmap=keywords:title&field-keywords=#album#
Thanks to audiosoft for giving us alternatives!
And let's not forget to give amg a real "hug" for their eager to spread information and help ejukebox? What was their arguments?
Network load or sometning more stupid?
Their url is wiped out of memory and never to return...
*burn*
Hi to everyone.
After this news regarding customizable links (AMG choise...mmhh...Not-A-So-Good-Choice), I tryied to link to other sites, referring to lyrics.
These are a few that I tried:
******************************************************************
Normal:
[Lyrics]
URL=http://www.lyricsfind.com/search/?t=title&q=#title#
[Lyrics]
URL=http://www.lyricsplace.com/list.php?stype=title&q=#title#
[Lyrics]
URL=http://search.freefind.com/find.html?id=6861736&pageid=r&mode=ALL&n=0&query=#artist#+#title#
[Lyrics]
URL=http://www.reallyrics.com/search.asp?txtItem=#title#&Type=1
******************************************************************
Good:
URL=http://www.lyricscafe.com/cgi/search.pl?lyricscafe=8abfdbf53811b7dfd1c2019f645fe1fe&stpos=0&query=#title#
URL=http://www.lyricsxp.com/search.asp?query=#title#&type=Title
******************************************************************
The one that I'm using right now:
URL=http://www.seeklyrics.com/search.php?q=#title#&t=1
******************************************************************
Hoping be useful for some eJukebox users, I really hope someone excet me, Pirk (Hi, Guy!) and Robbieg123...
PS: Pirk, can I ask you, if I led you a few site (specialized in lyrics, etc.), to create for me the right text strings in order to correct link
eJukebox to there sites trhu right search query?
Hi to Everyone....
Could someone repost the proper syntax for a Google search? I've wiped them out of my INI, but stupidly didn't back them up.
Oh, and one thing I DID discover is that you definitely don't have to use the info links for the purpose they are labelled for. For example, I
really don't care about Posters. So I've reassigned my "Poster' info choice to do an Amzon.com Artist search instead. Sure,
it's a bit confusing because the Info item still says "Posters", but I can live with it.
Or perhaps... NEW FEATURE REQUEST.
Why not just make this even more extensible? Let the quicklinks.ini file hold additional user defined headers, in addition to the existing ones for
Artist, Album, Lyrics, and Poster. Have the phrase in the header double as how it displays under the Info Links menu, and since we are already
cranking out all kinds of extensions for different websites... this will REALLY be useful!

Jhlurie,
The original link for google is:
[Artist]
URL=http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&safe=off&q=#artist#&sa=N&tab=iw
Viper__182,
Hi, i'll send you a u2u message...
NOTE: When posting your info links to the forums you must check the "Turn BBCode off" option in order for them to be easily copied and
pasted into quicklinks.ini.
If you do not check this post option it will add an extra space at the end of each line causing it not to work correctly when pasted into
quicklinks.ini....unless the user deletes the spaces.
A few nice one's too

Question:
How can i make a separator in the quicklinks.ini file ? At the moment i use [-------] what's not a nice solution.
Hi, finally updated the info links as deciribed in this forum, and now my version 3.97 always starts and says there is an a new version available
3.97, and wnats me to download. If I do download I get the same thing next time. If I ignore it ("cancel") then every works OK appart from the
opening upgrade message.
What is e-jukebox doing, is it detecting the new quicklinks.ini file? and if so how do I fix this.
Thanks Brian
Here is a very useful Info link you can add which instantly brings you to the offical website of the musical artist.
[Artist Website]

Ah great, it's very good!
Bravo Audiosoft!
