Using my own album covers?
str1der - 10-15-2003 at 03:54 PM

I currently have my 550 CD collection already ripped with the covers scanned and in place in each album directory. Is there a way to tell the program to not download any from the internet but use the art found in each album directory?

Unfortunately no...

You currently must edit a song from each album in eJukebox and set the image by using the "Use Image from..." button and click the "Set4All" button that appears.

Does anyone know of a tag editing program that will automatically encode these images into the files for str1der?

Maybe with MP3ext? using the "actions" feature (See in the Help file). But I don't know if it can do that automatically or not.

MusicMatch JukeBox does this quickly (looks up tags w/ images) and easily with it's SuperTag feature. It actually does write the image to the file.

I use eJ as my jukebox, MMJB as my initial tagger /w images, and MP3/Tag Studio 3 as my all-around tag manipulator.

I'm also evaluating Abander TagControl for editing tags, and while it has TONS of options and a really cool export feature, it's a little too feature packed to understand quickly.

and MP3/Tag Studio 3 as my all-around tag manipulator

I have to say MP3/Tag Studio - whilst it might have a bit of a steep learning curve - absolutely rocks - nothing beats it for power and functionality!

There - i've said it.....
