MP3 Backup Software?
ochristmas - 9-3-2003 at 11:51 AM

Can anyone recomend some good backup software?

I have a DVD writer - lots of MP3s and want to regularly backup. The only proviso is that the MP3s are left as MP3 not compressed or merged.

At the moment I am doing it manually through Nero - trying to work how much will fit on each disc.

Hmmm Can anyone help? Many thanks.

PS If I want to use eJukebox in my other machine downstairs do I have to buy another copy?

Just in case you already have it, MusicMatch Jukebox has a feature called SmartSplit.

"SmartSplit burns files to *CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R and DVD-RW media, deciding for you, how to optimally group files on to multiple CDs. This is especially useful if you need to back up a large music collection and one CD isn't enough."

Most other backup software such as NTI Backup Now! does just what you don't want it to; compresses the files into one backup file.

Good Luck,
Rich

Rich,

Wow that sounds ideal - have tried the prog a couple of times but hated it! (i dont want shopping trolleys telling me to buy something I already have!!) But I will look into that feature.

Thanks very much!
