Sorry if this has been asked before.

Is it possible to disable the pop up that appears bottom right of the screen when a new song starts?

It's probably easy to do, but I can't figure it out.

In the playlist section goto Options/Playlist > Display > Uncheck "Show popup on song change"

As I feared, it was rediculously easy to sort.

crlove is right you just uncheck "Show popup on song change".
Keep in mind if you check "Minimize to Tray" you can then right click the EJ tray icon when eJukebox is minimized to show the popup even when the show popup option is unchecked.
