MP4 Files don't play or even load into database??? Why is this?

I am trying to downlaod music from Itunes and play it on my jukebox... why won't they load into the database or play?

I have tried dragging them directly to the jukebox. When the "add new music" feature is used it doesn't even find these files on my drive... Why?

MP4 Support will added in v4.85. Just understand that you will need to set eJukebox to use Winamp (instead of the Internal Player under eJukebox main option's Sound tab) in order to play mp4 with eJukebox.

Audiosoft,

Can you add .m2v and .mpeg extensions too please?
They are the only ones I am missing. I am making a process where eJ can automatically add videos, get the album right the first time and assign a cover right the first time. I will share with all.

Thanks alot.

Don

Don,

No problem... I have gone ahead and added .MPEG and .M2V for drag and drop and database video import for v4.85.
v4.85 will be released tonight/early tomorrow.

I updated my winamp player, and I updated my ejukebox but the "add new songs" function still won't find my ITunes files nor will they play if I drag and drop them.

Please help??? I'm pretty sure I'm doing everything right, but I can't get these files to play.

Thanks for the help!

deyoonvaca,

OK I have found a small problem in v4.85 that was preventing the dropping of .mp4, .m2v and .mpeg on the playlist and have corrected that in v4.86. You can grab v4.86 HERE.

I also ran a test with v4.85 and .mp4 were picked up successfully from Tools->database update/add new files...so I am not sure why that is not working for you.
Are your itunes files actually ".mp4" or is it some other extension?

First, try add new files again with v4.86. If that doesn't work drag them to the eJukebox playlist.

As a last resort there is always the 'play in winamp' method:
Just play the file using winamp while ejukebox is running (and is set to use winamp) and eJukebox will automatically add the file to the database no matter what the file extension is.
