eJukebox behaves strangely with VNC. VNC is a common (and free) software for controlling a computer from another computer, by showing the desktop of
the controlled computer in a window on the controlling computer.
The problem is that some of the menus of eJukebox (eg: the "Special" menu, and the right-click menus) do not appear in the VNC window.
eJukebox is the only application I have had problems with in VNC.
(I guess this is not really a bug in eJukebox, but rather in VNC.)
Any thoughts?

That right click activity in eJ is one of the slower actions. And VNC may be polling the mouse activity at some rate thats very different from the
video updating. It may be popping up and dissapearing before you even get a chance to see it.
You aren't piping sound across this connection as well are you? I shudder at the thought.
I agree. I have used VNC and I have found better products out there for remote control...they just cost. I certainly would not use VNC on any production box. PC Anywhere 10.5 and up works pretty good and we use it for remote control on many workstations...especially since you can start it up as a service allowing it to work independant of anyone logging on. The termininal services service in Windows 2000 server and above is a godsend but, I would doubt you are running this on a server platform.
The reason the right click menus do not show up when using VNC is because the menus are semi-transparent which is not supported by VNC.
If you want we can add an option to disable the transparency on the menus.
Adding such an option would be fantastic!

Incredible! You already put it in the software! Less than 15 hours after my first post!
Thanks!

Your Welcome! The option to disable all transparency effects can be found on eJukebox v3.23 and later.
